Fantastic Unit

Great location; close to shopping and the beach.Lots of cupboards that are well stocked. Beach chairs, umbrellas and beach toys are all there.The host is amazing.

My honest opinion as a Japanese person
Mino, Japan, March 27, 2026 Stayed for 6 days in March 2026Overall, it was a wonderful facility where I could spend my time very relaxed.
The bed in particular was just the right firmness, and We slept very well. The air conditioning worked well, there were no insects, and it was a very comfortable stay.
I have four points of difficulty to note:
1 There was little explanation at check-in, and I had trouble getting into the building.
2 The door fittings in the building were poor, and entering and exiting was somewhat difficult.
3 The room key broke, and We were made to wait outside for 3 hours and 30 minutes until a locksmith was able to break the lock and let me in. However, the staff handled the situation conscientiously after that.
4 The hot/cold dial in the bath was extremely stiff, making it very difficult to adjust the temperature.
That said, broadly speaking it was a good facility. We would like to use it again if given the chance.Response from Captain Cook Resorts

Good choice

24th floor top notch!
Jack B. from Berthoud, United States, April 30, 2025 Stayed for 35 days in March 2025I stayed in both this unit #2417 and #2217 this year and last (same owner) and I can only be enthusiastic. Great place, everything top notch! The photos do not lie. And the views are fantastic. The place is stocked with every type of beach gizmo you could want: folding chairs, umbrella, mats, boogie boards, all types of sports equipment, coolers. And if you're into cooking for yourself, a plentitude of dishes; a very decent upscale market at the corner of Kuhio, and a Target just opened with groceries too. The only downside is a noise issue with all the ambulance & fire sirens coming at you down Ala Wai Blvd., but not much at night, and you can get away from it with the AC. The management is very responsive.

Hawaii Staycation
Christy B. from Yamhill, United States, September 27, 2023 Stayed for 46 days in August 2023Due to medical issues, we had to stay in HI for an additional 6 weeks. We had to scramble and find a place that would work for us. We were questioning it as we were driving in because there are some sketchy places nearby, but it pleasantly surprised us. This place was PERFECT! There was enough space for 3 of us. It has a kitchen with almost everything needed. The view was great (although high up). The pool on the rooftop was a great surprise. I'm 63 and it was an easy walk to the beach (There are backpack beach chairs too), restaurants and shopping. Safeway is only a couple miles away so if you don't have a car it's a quick & inexpensive Uber ride. Be sure to bring the rolling grocery cart with you to make the trip up easier and fewer trips. The place was very clean & James is very responsive to answer questions. You can see the fireworks from the roof top each Friday night. I would definitely book this place again if I needed to stay in Oahu again.

One Month stay at 2417 Fairway Villa
Burna, United States, November 4, 2022 Stayed for 30 days in September 2022We were amazed at how well stocked the condo was. Everything was high quality from the kitchen utensils to beach chairs. There were copious amounts of cleaning supplies in the kitchen and bathrooms. If you want to partake in all that Waikiki has to offer, this is a great location. Condo is very safe and secure. The views from the pool deck is truly spectacular. We like to cook rather than going out, so found the kitchen a bit small, but managed ok. We were very fortunate to be given a late checkout of 3 pm - our flight was at 10:30 pm, BUT found the entry code had been changed and we were LOCKED OUT at 11:10 am. It was a frantic 45 mins before we were able to contact James - our friends had their luggage locked inside and they had a 2:15 flight to catch.
I would suggest that there be more visible directions for the washer, dryer, ac and tv volume . We had difficulty with them all. Byron was very quick to our rescue when we needed him.
It’s our our 6 th time renting through Captain Cook Resorts and we have highly recommended them to many of our friends. We’ve already booked for next year.Response from Captain Cook Resorts

Not only furniture but also appliances are great and clean.

Perfect Waikiki Location
Monte Vista, United States, July 5, 2022 Stayed for 30 days in May 2022A wonderful place that is central to all things Waikiki. We had a really pleasant stay. The property manager was reachable via text. They were always fast at responding and attending from questions to any issues during the stay. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our one month stay. The building was getting some renovating work done so at times we had issues with noise or only one of the elevators working, etc. but not the biggest deal. We were fine with it.

What a great place to stay for a truly wonderful six-week stay!
Sacramento, United States, November 28, 2021 Stayed for 42 days in October 2021We picked this place because we try to stay at the Fairway Villa every time we come and because we've used Captain Cook in the past and appreciate their service and professionalism. We knew that there would be a great view and a comfortable set-up because the pictures show that. What the pictures don't show however is how much attention has been paid to detail. They have really thought through what you need when you stay somewhere for a long time. They had everything you could possible think of available and some we'd never imagined! Here's a partial list: a boogie board, two beach chairs, a lunch-sized cooler, a beach umbrella, three other umbrellas, 2 large and 1 small, two coffee makers, large and small rice cookers, sharp knives (I), so many cooking utensils that I had to offload some to another drawer. Loads of dishes, some for children. A pizza pan! A great TV set up. Even a wheeled cart for hauling stuff to the beach or going to the farmers' market. I would say that this was the easiest time we've had ever in terms of what was available. Did I mention sun screen, shampoo, dish soap? We highly recommend this wonderful unit. Finally, James, our property manager, was very responsive, and when he was off, Byron answered our questoins for us. We have never been disappointed by the service given by Captain Cook. Thank you very much!

駐車場も1台専用スペースが確保され、買い物やお出掛けには使い勝手は良かったです、(夕食はほとんど外食ですが、ワイキキ以外のお店はどこも空いていて待たされる事なく、割とお値打ちで車は必須です)

部屋も4人で宿泊するには、十分な大きさで部屋から出なくてものんびりすることができました。
また、すべての部屋のあちこちに、スマホの置くだけ充電器が設置してあり、スマホヘビーユーザーの家内と娘は喜んでおりました。
屋上のプールとBBQコンロは、使う機会がありませんでしたが、次回こちらを利用させていただく際には、ぜひBBQを楽しんでみたいと思います。

The Perfect Vacation Property

The unit had all the amenities we required and was located in the heart of Honolulu with Waikiki Beach only blocks away and a gorgeous view of Diamond Head out our window. We were contacted by Captain Cook Real Estate shortly after our arrival to see if there was anything we required. A special thank you to James the unit manager. Our flight did not leave Honolulu until late in the evening and he allowed us to store our luggage in another unit after our check out time. Also, the washer was not working and it was immediately replaced with a brand new machine. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at this unit again.

Our son's Hawaiian wedding

My husband and I and my daughter and her husband were in Hawaii for our son's wedding. Two bedrooms two baths was a priority. We were so impressed that those who got up early or stayed up later could use the kitchen and TV without disturbing the ones in bedrooms. It was very soundproof!! I also liked the larger lanai. All four of us could sit comfortably. The view was beautiful - diamond head, golf course, waterway and the ocean! Just as important the condo was well kept and extremely clean - bathrooms, kitchen, everything including appliances.

Great Place In Waikiki

The condo is well equipped, clean and great security. It is nice to have an assigned parking stall. The host was very pleased to have us there. Byron from Captain Cook was great as usual. Third time using Captain Cook any they are top notch. Would recommend this condo to anyone looking for one in Waikiki.
