Colony Surf #407 – 2895 Kalakaua Ave
(30-Night Minimum. ALL MONTHLY RESERVATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO APPROVAL. Preference given to calendar month bookings.)

Cooled by trade winds, this beautifully upgraded 900 sq.ft. one-bedroom suite in the oceanfront Colony Surf on the quiet end of Waikiki, has beautiful ocean and Diamond Head views and a spacious living/dining area for entertaining. This condo overlooks the volleyball court area of the Outrigger Canoe Club next door.

The Colony Surf offers beachside living at its finest and is also home to world famous Michel's Restaurant. On one side of Colony Surf you'll enjoy playing tennis or walking in Kapiolani Park; on the other side, enjoy swimming and sunning on the sandy beach, or surfing the sparkling blue waters of the Pacific Ocean (NO POOL onsite). You'll be away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, yet a close enough walk to shopping, casual and fine dining, night life and the many attractions and activities that Waikiki has to offer.

CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: Colony Surf is undergoing some concrete spalling repair throughout the building through July 28, 2023. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8AM–4:30PM, excluding holidays (4/7, 5/29, 6/12, 7/4/2023). This will entail some jackhammering and grinding noises. Though most guests are not bothered, please consider if you are particularly sensitive to noise. Due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, construction schedule may change without notice.

CHECK-IN IS 3PM — CHECK-OUT IS 11AM
Since another guest may check out the same day you arrive, to guarantee an early Check-In, reserve the condo for the night prior to arrival. For same-day reservations, Check-In Time is guaranteed for 5PM.

No Pets, No Parties, No Smoking/Vaping (including in the condo, on the balcony/lanai, or in any of the building's public spaces). Violations are subject to a $500 fine, plus actual costs for odor removal or if anything needs replacement due to tar, ashes, or burns.

ALL CAPTAIN COOK RESORTS RENTALS INCLUDE:

– Dishes, Silverware, Cookware (including tea kettle & rice cooker)
– Beach chairs, Hair dryer, Iron/Ironing board
– Start-Up Supplies: coffee filters, laundry detergent, dish soap, dishwasher soap, bar soap, paper towels, toilet paper, tissue, basic cleaning supplies, and travel size (2 oz.) shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion
– NOT PROVIDED: beach umbrellas, beach toys, aluminum foil, Ziploc bags, coffee, condiments/seasonings, cooking oil, fabric softener, or bleach. This private vacation rental does NOT include resort services such as daily housekeeping, replenishment of towels or toiletry supplies, or hotel front desk services.

    In 40 years of renting on Oahu, Captain Cook Real Estate is the most professional rental agency we have encountered.     This unit was perfect for my stay! Clearly the owner has a heart for Hawaii and its people. I came not as a tourist but to visit family and dig deeper into the culture. #407 had a wealth of books on Hawaii and it was tempting to stay in and read them. But the neighborhood is perfect for walks up Diamond Head Road, exploration of historic houses and architecture and just for being in the moment to view Diamond Head and ocean activity from the unit. Everything was spotless and so well equipped. The layout was perfect for having guests in for dinner. The noise from the volleyball court was not an issue, but the HVAC equipment on the roof of the OCC was loud. Fortunately it was only on from about 7AM to 8PM. Do not miss watching the moon rise overhead and view it shining on the ocean in the morning. Back home, I miss the sound of the birds and the swaying palms. Thank you to the owner for allowing me to share in your beautiful home!
    I have a suggestion for Capt. Cook. A personal check in would have helped understand the layout and functions of the unit. Also, a call the day before checkout would have made it less confusing about was required. However, when something needed attention during the stay, Byron followed up.

    We enjoyed our stay at Colony Surf. The oceanfront location is special. The staff at the building are helpful and keep the place clean and nice

    Our unit had everything you need for a great stay. The huge window makes you feel like you are living outside. We were not bothered by the volleyball courts below our window as the quit at sunset and it was not too noisy

    We would definitely stay here again

    This is our second year in this unit, a real gem. Everything is handled very effeciently and professionaly, and Byron is immediately available should questions or requests arise. It is beautifully decorated and well equipped. And the desk w/printer setup is a extra plus.

    Outstanding! Colony Surf 407 is one of the most comfortable condos we’ve stayed in. The decor is stunning and the kitchen is better equipped than mine at home. All appliances, large and small, tons of cutlery and glasses, bowls, pots and storage containers. Very modern washer and dryer were very convenient. The location was perfect for the wonderful view of the ocean and Diamond Head as well as close enough to walk through downtown and the beach. First class service from captain cook resorts and the concierges in the building. Daily newspaper was an added treat.
    We frequented many golf courses, Maui brewing and Kona brewing as well as Legends sports pub to catch hockey games.
    The only suggestion would be for better lighting, especially something over the dining table. And maybe new bed pillows and a modern kitchen faucet.

    Nice ocean front location - some noise from adjacent volleyball courts but not too late at night. Quite well equipped for cooking etc. No coffee grinder. Land line with Canada/USA calls nice. Average quality queen bed. Byron from Captain Cook was helpful - brought beach towels and hot spot for wifi before we got it running; as well as helping us with check in by letting us put our luggage in another suite while waiting (luckily vacant for the day). To me it is a 5 star location overall, close to Diamond head and Kapiolani park/tennis courts, 10 minute walk to Waikiki and much calmer than same.

    407 is a beautiful condo with everything we needed for a wonderful Honolulu stay. The kitchen and bath are fully furnished with everything we needed for our meals and special dinners with local family., plenty of linens including beach towels and beach chairs.

    The artwork is unique and very interesting. Was a pleasure to have such beauty added to the space.

    The views are wonderful including watching the sunrise over the crater every morning. Beach/swimming sunsets are great fun as well.

    Our only wish list item is a king bed.

    Captain Cook, Bryon, was very helpful and easy to work with.

    Thank you to everyone who made our stay so relaxing.
