You'll enjoy this renovated 500-sqft studio at the world-famous Ilikai. With its full kitchen, free Wi-Fi and parking, and spacious open-air lanai, this is the perfect home base for exploring all that Waikiki and Honolulu have to offer on your dream Hawaiian vacation! 4-person max.
CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: Major exterior painting and spalling repair project Jul 28, 2025–Jul 20, 2027 with construction noise daily from 8am–5pm. This unit's lanai will be closed Oct 16, 2025–Feb 21, 2026, accessible daily from 5pm once work is finished for the day. (Dates subject to change without notice due to weather and unexpected delays.)
There are many great shops and dining establishments right on property, and it's an easy walk, trolley or taxi ride to Waikiki's many other shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues! Beautiful Duke Kahanamoku Beach Park & Lagoon are located just a quick 4-minute walk down the exclusive beach access walkway, and Ala Moana Center and Beach Park are a 10–15-minute walk away!
NOTE: This rental is legally classified as a 1-Bedroom condo due to its size and kitchen. However, it has been renovated into a spacious open-concept Studio with NO wall/door separating the bedroom from the living room.

Great stay close to everything

Responsive host, clean instructions, and a great location central to everything.
The only things we noticed: one of the closet sliding doors did not work and looked to be completely off the tracks, bathroom wall over sink had splatters on it that looked to have just not been cleaned up between renters, noticeable paint peeling chipping and wall damage in the bathroom and baseboard were very dirty, and the carpet was bunched up in several places. Overall, nothing we couldn’t work with during our time there and worth it for convenience just suggestions for the future.Response from Captain Cook Resorts

I would stay here again

The elevators are fast and plentiful. Figure out the bathers elevator right away as it's super handy and less crowded than the lobby elevators. Learn to surf right there near the lake. Turtles right by the break wall. Great location.

Auckland, New Zealand, May 16, 2023 Stayed for 7 days in May 2023While the property was very comfortable, had great facilities awesome location and clean, it is headlined as 'newly renovated' which is a little of an overstretch. Wardrobe doors were old and one was off its track. There was also a cupboard door that had come away from its hinges. It could do with some more modern upgrades and it would be perfect.

Very Very Nice

Although we weren't on the ocean side, the view of the other buildings and street were nice. I would reserve this room again.

Fantastic studio close to beach, shopping, and food

Our family of 4 loved our stay. The closet had an awesome stash of beach supplies. The bed was comfy, our kids liked the pullout sofa. I enjoyed morning coffee on the deck & watched the morning commuters go by. An added bonus was being able to rent a car using the HUI app (two options were located WITHIN the building). Unfortunately, the laundry room was being updated so we couldn't make use of that perk. The hotel was quiet, the ice cream shop downstairs was yummy, & being right next door to the Hilton gave us access to the Hilton lagoon & super easy access to walk to the Ala Moana beach. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Uber pick ups were simple.
Our flight landed after 8pm, but the property manager had no issues with getting us our keycode to enter the building / room.
I would definitely recommend this to someone traveling to the area - especially because not having to pack or buy beach toys, chairs, snorkle supplies was AWESOME.Response from Captain Cook Resorts

Perfect place to stay

Great central location!
United States, July 8, 2022 Stayed for 7 days in June 2022The condo was in a great central location. Easy drive to other parts of the island and within walking distance to beaches, shopping, and restaurants. Laundry facility down the hall was a plus. Parking in the basement was also a plus. King bed was comfy. Kitchen was stocked. AC worked well. Some updates, but could use new carpet, curtains, and couch mattress. City view from balcony, but can be noisy. Didn’t bother our sleep though. Check-in was easy with a few hiccups that were quickly resolved.

We did however think the cleaning could be a little more detailed. The mirrors in the living room had handprints and dust on them, the bathroom shower was also dirty in the corners of the shower and the appliances (toaster) could have been cleaned up a bit.

Very convenient that there was parking included, however, the parking lot is very tight so I wouldn’t recommend getting a big car. Property manager was also very friendly. Liked the lagoon that was close by where you can rent water trikes. Loved the restaurant there and coffee shop that also served food like waffles. Also liked that it had its own convenient store that sold a little of everything.
