There are lots of restaurants across the street that I didn't discover until near the end of my vacation. Couldn't use the balcony as there were construction. Looks like long term construction going on. I wish they would put the 'Do Not Use Balcony' sign to the side, instead of in the middle of the sliding glass door blocking our view. I purchased salt, pepper, and butter to make eggs in the morning. I wish the condo had basic cooking ingredients like salt, pepper, oil for guests to use. They had all the pots, pans, and kitchen utensils to make any meal, though.

The condo was pretty nice, well kept and comfortable, though a bit noisy due to traffic on the street below and people talking loudly at all hours, also on the street. We spoke with two managers while there and both were helpful. The parking garage pass was a bit confusing and there wasn't someone in the office to help when we needed it. Other people had problems as well.

Upon arrival, we were able to easily contact our Propery Manager, James, who gave us all of the check-in instructions. The unit is in an excellent location and the view is breathtaking overlooking the beach, lagoon, sailboats and park. The unit was clean with comfy beds, and everything you require for a most enjoyable stay. We would definitely book this unit again. Maholo!

Great location and stay
Chinmayi V. from San Jose, Unknown, October 7, 2024 Stayed for 4 days in October 2024The rental is walkable distance to Scuba tours and Submarine tours and Hilton Holiday village, very conveniently located. You can walk across to Ilikai hotel by crossing the street, there are nice restaurants and cafes overlooking the ocean. We could see the Friday night Hilton fireworks from the balcony, the balcony also packs in amazing views of the ocean and the marina. The rental itself is compact but comfortable and clean, fully loaded with kitchen amenities, I was able to make some simple meals and smoothies for my vegetarian elderly parents. Air conditioning worked well, plenty of towels provided and the laundry room is right across the corridor in the same floor.
We had no water for a few hours due to some repair work going on on the street, but otherwise we loved our stay here and hope to be back. Parking is expensive at $33 a day.Response from Captain Cook Resorts

Great affordable option

The property manager was professional and prompt with responses. My only complaint is that the beds could use an upgrade. They caved in when we laid on them which made for a pretty uncomfortable sleep for 7 days.

A Memorable Aloha Stay

The location is strategically close to both Waikiki as well as Ala Moana Mall (and within walking distance to Don Quijote where my husband love to shop). From the apartment lanai, one has the most glorious view of the sea, the dock and the sunset(which is one of the reason I chose it). We love the layout of the apartment with the self sufficient kitchen where we were able to cook scrumptious meals for our daughter and son in law staying in Honolulu. We would definitely opt to stay with them again for our future trips.

The property was clean and well maintained. The property manager was available when needed.The kitchen had everything we needed. There were plenty of towels for 3. The AC worked great. We were very comfortable. The view is amazing and the Friday night fireworks show was viewable from the lanai. I would definitely stay here again or recommend this condo.

Great great Condo by the Marina
PLACENTIA, US, April 11, 2023 Stayed for 5 days in April 2023Perfect for a family. Spent 6 days here with spouse and teenager. Full kitchen allowed us to save any restaurant leftovers to heat up and eat later or stay in and cook. Teenager was able to navigate the kitchen just like at home and eat when hungry. On the West end of Waikiki, near Hilton Hawaii Village and allows for a spectacular view of their Friday fireworks from balcony. Only down side, they claimed to provided coffee filters but not coffee. We bought coffee and there were no filters. Just one package of pre-measured coffee. Beach chairs and beach umbrella were an excellent bonus to have use of. Highly recommend.

We loved to hear the roosters from the nearby park every morning. The room was clean when we arrived, check in instructions were very clear, and had no issues checking in. We were able to get a late checkout at no extra cost, which we appreciated. The fireworks on Friday night were a real treat which we enjoyed from the comfort of the patio. Great Accommodations and Stay

Fantastic unobstructed view of the ocean and marina. Walking distance to all the attractions throughout Waikiki including Ala Moana Mall and the beach board walk just past the marina. Easy check in/out process. During our stay, we had to contact Property Management for a few things. Paul (Property Manger) was quick to respond. He was professional, courteous and friendly. It made our stay that much more enjoyable. Will definitely book this unit and with Captain Cook again. Thank you making our vacation a memorable one!

Air conditioner works great and the place is very clean. Only down side is the lock on the door gave us some trouble each time we tried to unlock it but that's about it.

Perfect home base to return to after exploring the North Shore. Easy to Pearl Harbor and back. Did surfing, sunset sailing, and parasailing at great prices just steps from the location. Ala Was Harbor is excellent for activities. At night, great romantic walks along the Hilton Lagoon and right onto the sands of Waikiki.

Balcony was perfect for viewing ocean and endless rainbows. On the end of Waikiki Beach but allowed easy walk to Mall, shops and restaurants. Captain Cook Management was so easy to work with. We found beach chairs, umbrella and towels in the condo to use. Kitchen is fully equipped. Highly recommend

Our 3 weeks stay

Location to the lagoon and beach was great. The only downside was the dated building and communal areas that needed to be remodeled or updated. There were a few times we had to call the landlord to take care of unwanted bugs.

Great location and view

I would stay here again. 15 minute walk to Waikiki, 10 minute walk to Ala Moana beach park. The building is a little tired but the apartment is cheery and recently renovated. It has everything you need, beach towels, etc. Kitchen is great, you will feel healthier and only go out to eat when you want to enjoy something special. Washer dryer in unit is a huge convenience. Management is very responsive and helpful. Downsides: A lot of junk fees such as "accidental damage $50" cleaning fee was steep at $200 and the $30 reservation fee.

A fabulous place to stay
Asakuchi, Japan, February 12, 2020 Stayed for 12 days in January 2020This room has everything we wanted for our vacation. The location was good. It is very convenient to go Ala Moana center, yet the beautiful beach was right front of the property. Watching a beautiful sunset and harbor view from the room was our highlight of the stay. Washer/Dryer in the room was so handy. I appreciate Captain Cook resort staff for making our stay comfortable. We would definitely come back to stay this room!!

Ideal stay for a little while, or a long while

We found the accommodation accurate to the description, very comfortable, clean and well appointed. It was well situated for beach activities, restaurants or within easy walking distance to the popular Ala Moana Shopping Centre or to the hub of Honolulu shopping district in the other direction. Perfect spot and wonderful condo

There was one small maintenance issue but was promptly resolved (within 30 mins). Location was excellent, near a number of restaurants, number of beaches, ABC store, bus stop, car rental and Ala Moana shopping center. Great spot for Friday night fireworks. Some street noise from time to time but nothing internal (never heard anything from neighbors or corridors). Would absolutely recommend this property. Thoughtful inclusions (dish washing, laundry detergent, beach umbrella, comfortable beds and pillows etc). Wifi and cable tv was great. Excellent view of ocean! Couple bits of feedback would be to include a a guide to local services such as grocery stores or gas stations etc. Additionally, kitchen could use a pizza tray. Comfortable stay for 10 days for a family of 4.

Edmonton, Canada, November 7, 2018 Stayed for 7 days in October 2018The property manager was very helpful. We arrived around 11 pm and he was waiting for us. he was available on phone for any enquires or questions we had.
The property is very well located, a 5 minutes walk from the Waikiki beach. Clean property with all basic requirements available to settle in.
