Great accommodation

Good that it came with parking alongside all the other amenities. Only point to make is that laundry is a fee (you have to recharge a card) however it is relativity cheap. (I stayed for almost a month and 15 USD was enough for a couple loads of laundry). The view is decent from the balcony and is nice to just sit and have breakfast at, there is also a TV if you wanted to have a chill night in or watch a movie.

Great location as access to the main street, beach and public transportation is within a couple of blocks. There is an outdoor nightblub close by that can be noisy up to about 10 p.m. When we had a small problem the staff were quick to respond and to deal with it. AS well we forgot an item and a call to James, the property manager resulted in him retrieving ti then shipping it to us the next day. Cannot ask for better customer service! 2 suggestions I would make are: include directions on how and where to add value to the laundry card. Second a small cooler would be handy for the beach.

A great location for a holiday

The unit has great views of Waikiki and the beach, and is well kept and clean and tidy. We had such a good time we are coming back next year!

Nice place for reasonable price in Waikiki

It is "well-loved" i.e. worn carpet, wear in the bathroom, etc. However, it was fine enough to stay in and the price is good! James from Captain Cook is a good host and was there for all of our needs. The view is gorgeous and the room is quiet. A short walk from all the main attractions. I would stay here again!

Good views of city lights at night and Fire works display from Hilton Hotel on Friday nights. Comfortable bed. Needs more tea towels in kitchen only had one for 10 days. The kitchen crockery is a miss match nothing matches, The carpet badly needs shampooing or new carpet or just tiles though out the room as it was shocking dirty (very dirty) Maybe in bathroom two extra towels for over longer stays would be good( I know no maid service) Outside patio needs to be checked for safety as bolts have been loosened on rail but there is other tight bolts that are fastened to side of building Just Check them please. Otherwise overall good place to stay for a holiday in Waikiki.

One thing I would like to mention is that it is not about room facilities but the common washing machine on the 20th floor. It did not work properly on our last few days

It is centrally located with transport, shopping and the beach all within a short walk. Being on the 20th floor we had great views out over the city and ocean.
The room is very clean and comfortable. The Team at Captain Cook were easy to deal with and communication was quick and courteous.

Ideal Waikiki Location -- with Parking!

He met us at the property for check-in which went smoothly. One night -- between 2-3 a.m. the fire alarm went off three times. We couldn't figure out what the problem was. Captain Cook called the next day to check to see if everything was ok. I mentioned the fire alarm and James came by to check it out. We also had a very late departure and Captain Cook allowed us a very late check out since they were not expecting a guest the next day. This was very much appreciated. The fact that the property has parking was great. Also, the location near the International Market Place, beach, etc. was fantastic. You cannot beat the location.

Great location

Sometimes we hear banging sound next door, like they were hammering something on the wall. It would be great if there was an outside grill. There were three light switches that we didnt know where they were connected. Even thought we close our veranda window, we can still hear all the sounds from the outside. Engine bike sounds, bands singing, people talking, like we can hear everything, it was too loud. We would go back but not the room we had #2008. Maybe the otherside of the condo.

Great shopping and dining location

The location was fantastic for shopping and dining out, a bit noisy though as the windows are not doubled glazed so bring earplugs with you. It was great to have free parking too. We had a great stay and would recommend staying here

We had a tiny problem of the parking lot, but the correspondence by the property manager, Jessica was quick and good.

Captain Cook is a great company and the employees we worked with were very pleasant and responsive, taking immediate care of any problems. We can only hope that rental pricing doesn't continue to leap upward and cause us to curtail our Hawaii visit yearly.

Nice apartment, needs better maintenance

Some negative facts:
- You can't sleep with open window because of noise, but it's very quite when the window is closed
- the bathroom's door needs to be fixed

Our favorite parts of the condo itself were the well supplied kitchen, very effective air conditioning, comfortable bed and great beach supplies (chairs, mat, etc). Jessica was a delight and very accommodating and knowledgeable. The condo was also very clean. Great job!

Here's the story... We were in Honolulu for a local couple's wedding and planned on going to Kailua for lunch before the evening event. Other's had told us what a beautiful beach it was...
It had rained so the parking lot was pretty empty... after a walk on the beach we came back to find the window smashed and my bag stolen (don't leave anything in the car or trunk in Kailua). EVERYTHING was gone in less than 30 mins.
At the Police Station we called Captain Cook and spoke with Wendy, another Captain Cook Super Hero, who texted Jessica to change the door code and meet us back at the condo. She helped us call credit card companies and calm me down. We made it to the reception with her help. Without it, we would have miss the whole wedding.Response from Captain Cook Real Estate

Quezon City Philippines, 02. December 2014 Stayed for 5 days in November, 2014Arriving and leaving is easy and hassle-free. The place is situated near waikiki beach and royal Hawaiian center. The designated parking slot is great.
The unit is clean and quiet at night. Unit just needs a kitchen exhaust so it doesn't smell like food after cooking. -

It was quiet even though it is located in a busy part of Waikiki. We had planned on cooking several meals but we were busy being tourists so found reasonable meals at close by I-HOP, Seaside Grill and MacDonald's. If we return to Oahu again we will stay again at this facility.

Just what we were looking for!
Emeryville United States, 17. November 2014 Stayed for 5 days in November, 2014Great 20th floor studio in the heart of Waikiki. Everything we needed or could have needed was just a few steps or short blocks away. Awesome city view and partial ocean view from lanai and beautiful larger ocean view from floor hallway balcony. Studio was fully equipped and made us feel like locals. We absolutely loved and appreciated the free parking stall! It gave us the freedom to come and go as we pleased without worrying about extra parking fees. Only 2 minor complaints we had was a part of the shower drain was falling off and was secured with tape and air conditioner would slightly leak onto the lanai when used for long periods of time. Very minor and didn't ruin our vacation. Highly recommended! Will definitely return when we are back on Oahu.

There was a complete kitchen utensils provided never did I feel I needed anything. The location was perfect there were so many resturaunts, stores and fast food around. More than expected
Pacifica United States, 08. June 2014 Stayed for 6 days in May, 2014I'm very fond of Captain Cook's management team because of my recent experience with them. Although my SO visited a different site, we blind-chose Marine Surf 2008 and ended up with all the amenities we requested. I especially love that the kitchen was fully-stocked for me to cook almost everything I wanted (with paper towels, extra towels for dishes, mittens, ovenware, trash bags, wax paper). There was also an ironing board with boogie boards & a snorkel set for use! I hadn't gone to the beach this time so didn't have the chance to use them, but it was a wonderful perk. Everything was clean. The air conditioner worked great. The view was pleasant. The shower head had multiple settings. The only downside may be the huge bug in the pool. A few TV channels were a bit pixelated but nothing a visitor to Oahu for island fun wouldn't complain about. It is a little inconvenient to beep in and out of the elevator, but that itself made me feel a lot safer. Thank you so much for the parking spot as well :) I will definitely come back and stay in a larger complex, and recommend this to my friends.

While nightly rental rates have risen slightly, large discounts for stays of 30+ nights has been discontinued for nightly rentals (as opposed to units that can ONLY be rented by the month). Close to everything the best part private parking stall included if you ever stay in a hotel or condo this seems to be hard to get, it can be very expensive if you had to pay extra per day -

My wife and I chosen to stay here instead of a hotel which we did the last two years. The condo was very clean and had everything you need to cook, which we did every morning and night to save money. We love the view from the lanai. We saw the fireworks from here like three times during are stay awesome! The condo had boogie broads and a beach umbrella which was super nice to have. The laundry room was right outside of are room. We spent most of the day out having fun but would love to stay here again.

Beautiful beach;however, some suggestions to make it an awesome vacation place: change blinds and living room furniture. Pillows also changed or cleaned better. Other than that clean place with great view. Nice kitchen and secure building. People were nice, especially resident neighbors that were helpful.

Despite an initial hiccup due to our late arrival coming through US Immigration (Paul)the property manager came out very late at night to let us into the apartment. He was extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with.

It was also close to shopping, tour pickup and the things we wanted to do on our first trip to Hawaii. The property itseld was well maintained and we were pleased with the location. My only recommendation would be to have a grab bar installed in the shower since some of us are a little older and feel better it we have something to hold on to. Otherwise a very good experience.

great location
Hiroshima Japan, 08. April 2013 Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013We enjoyed our stay at Marine Surf. The parking was secure...which was important to us. The location was right next to the International Market Place. The beach was walking distance and the area not too lonely but not too loud either.
The building security was great. In addition to not being able to enter the building without a special "clicker" (attached to the keys), you couldn't push a button on the elevator with the "clicker" either.
My only "complaint" was when we were leaving we were instructed to leave our keys and the "clicker" in the room (it was an auto-lock system). We did, but then we realized we needed the "clicker" to activate the elevator to take us down from the 20th floor.
I wish the instructions would have warned us about this, so we could have first secured our elevator before locking the keys and the clicker in the condo.

November 2012 Stayed for 7 days in November, 2012From the start of making reservations to being met at the condo Captain Cooks staff was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. The condo was more beautiful than the pictures. Centrally located so there was no need for a car rental took the bus or walked everywhere. I was traveling alone so security was important to me. I felt safe in this unit.
I was there for 7 days and felt like it was my home. Having the kitchenette was great as I could cook some of my meals. Nothing like having breakfast sitting on the lanai looking out at the ocean and mountains. Yes, there is street noise but with the lanai doors shut I didn't here it. Did get a wonderful view of the fireworks. I can't wait for my next trip and will definitely be contacting Captian Cooks for my rental!

September 2012 Stayed for 6 days in September, 2012this condo was close to everything, food, shopping and the beach. everything is walking distance here. the condo itself was clean and had everything that we needed. for the price, I think this place was worth every penny! if you're looking for a 5 star hotel, this isn't it. but if you're looking for a place that is clean and has a kitchen so you can at least have the option of cooking if you want, then this place is perfect. oh yes and a 5 star hotel would cost you at least 2-3 times more :) the view wasn't great, but at the same time, the only time we were in our condo was when we were sleeping so it didn't really matter. overall good stay for a good price. would recommend it to others for sure!

We had a minor issues to start, the sink drains became clogged. Paul was very helpful and probably went above and beyond to get it taken care of quickly for us. Overall the only thing that we noticed, was the unit had not been deep cleaned. It was not unreasonably dirty, and it was not exceptionally clean. It was nice that there were basic living supplies as well when we got there.

The apartment was very clean and the property manager was responsive and friendly when we checked in. We appreciated the extra little things, like additional pillows, Kleenex, beach chairs, and a brand-new sponge for washing dishes. We would definitely return. My only gripe (which is not within the control of the property management company - they are great) is that the building doesn't have a recycling program - I felt guilty throwing so many recyclable items in the trash.

Rockville United States, 23. January 2012 Stayed for 8 days in December, 2011Pluses: Convenient central Waikiki location, free parking space, lanai with view, well equipped kitchen, in-room wi-fi & phone, reasonable price, decent sized clean room.
Cons: A bit noisy, in the evenings with rumbling of large hvac units in other buildings, in the mornings there's noise of big trucks and buses. Running the air conditioner and closing the lanai doors did help drown out that noise for sleeping.
