Perfect location
Saint Marys, US, July 23, 2026 Stayed for 4 days in July 2026This unit is in a perfect location. Shopping, food, beautiful beach steps away. The area is busy with just about anything you could want or need in walking distance. There are not any views but who goes to the beach and sits inside? There is also beach gear in front room to use which was nice to have on hand.
The unit itself was adequate for four adults. Beds were comfortable. As stated by previous guests the back bed room is rather warm as it does not have a dedicated AC unit. Thankfully they provided a box fan we set up in the hallway to pull the cooler air through. Keeping all the binds closed also helped. If you can’t sleep when warm this may not be a good unit for you.
We were thankful to have a kitchen to make some of our own meals so we weren’t eating out constantly. It had everything we needed for basic prep.
The bathroom is smaller, especially the shower but it was hot water with great pressure.
The check in process was very thorough as the entry to the unit does have a few security features that are not normal (key for public elevator). Thankful everything was explained clearly to us. Owner also checked in mid way to ensure we were enjoying our stay. I would stay here again the value for the location was worth it!Response from Captain Cook Resorts

Cute and convenient
Newburg, US, July 5, 2026 Stayed for 4 days in June 2026A little complicated getting used to the process of using the key for the elevator multiple times, but I understand for safety and security. We were pleasantly surprised with the air mattress, which allowed my family to spread out more with sleeping. We also appreciated the beach chairs and cooler available. Bathroom shower is a little tight for a larger person, but manageable.

Wonderful Location
Asquith, CA, May 13, 2026 Stayed for 3 days in April 2026You can't beat the location. Older building, beds were comfortable, good towels. The back bedroom was hot as it had no a/c. The main bedroom wall behind the bed was hot for some reason but not a deal breaker. Very close to restaurants, ABC, the beach, and shopping. The host was lovely. Glad to have free parking for our rental car.
