Although there is NO POOL at this location, you do have the beautiful beach at your doorstep! Waikiki Shore is located in the newly revitalized area of Waikiki where and is the only condo in Waikiki where you can step directly from the building onto the sand of Waikiki Beach! Plus, you're in easy walking distance to great dining, shopping and entertainment.
**STRICT MAX OCCUPANCY OF 4 GUESTS TOTAL (infants/toddlers under 3 years old not counted). NO EXCEPTIONS.**
BUILDING NOTICE: Elevator maintenance beginning Oct 31, 2022. Only 1 of the 2 elevators will be in service at a time while the other is being upgraded, for approximately 10–12 months. Lobby renovation project beginning May 1, 2023, to last approx. 6 months.

Amazing condo

And with the park being next to the building, we had unobstructed views. We enjoyed having the slider doors open and having the ocean breezes cool the room and having the amazing views. The condo had everything we needed. it was great having a washer and dryer. The kitchen was very modern. We had had front row seats to the beautiful sunsets and the fireworks on our last day. Even with just one elevator operating at the time due to maintenance, we never had an issue. Having the free parking was a plus as well. We would definitely stay here again. We felt at home here. The place was immaculate and spotless, if you're looking.. look no further.

Unbeatable view in Waikiki

Beautiful place to stay
John P. from Jacksonville US, 11. May 2022 Stayed for 5 days in April, 2022We enjoyed this condo so much. It is perfect for 2 adults; it would be tight for more people. There is no balcony per se, the apartment was remodeled to include the room onto the balcony. The sliders open wide and the whole place is the balcony. The view is spectacular and at night the view is the city lights. Supplied are beach chairs and toys. The beach and swimming in front and to the north of the building is wonderful. We rented a car and then rented this condo because parking was included. It is a very walkable area and a car is not needed unless that is your choice. We probably paid more to bet the included parking than some of the other rentals in this building. We definitely would rent again.

An Excellent Choice

April 2022 Stayed for 3 days in March, 2022I picked Waikiki Shore #1208 as it had an assigned secure parking space and, being very familiar with the area, I knew it would have a great view. Unit 1208 is quite large and has everything you could possibly want to include a full size washer and dryer. The kitchen is large, has everything (gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, full size fridge, etc.) and is very modern. The bathroom also appears to have been recently remodeled. A person could live in this unit long-term. The view is great due to all the open space next door thanks to Fort Derussy; you can see the beach and ocean directly below and also see all the way to the west (Eva) end of Oahu over the water (also a smaller abbreviated view of Diamond Head outside the kitchen windows). The main view-side is all glass with overlapping doors that slide back to open the unit up almost completely to the outside giving one the sense of being outside when sitting at the dining table. The beach is also "right outside the door". No sense of being in a "concrete jungle" like many Waikiki hotels. I highly recommend this unit.

We chose this unit because the Lanai was turned into part of the great room. We expected to watch the fireworks display that supposedly happened every Friday night from the comfort of our own room. It would have been nice if we were informed that there have been no fireworks display since covid began almost two years ago. Oops! We loved the open feeling. The only down side to this unit was the cleanliness and the age of the furniture; Needs to be upgraded. We rented our own vacation home through VRBO since their beginning. We know the importance of accurate information when choosing a vacation rental. We still would have chose this place but it would have been nice to know (the rest of the story).

I would like to explain that the Fireworks are put on by the Hilton Hawaiian Village and unfortunately their information regarding the fireworks is not updated or accurate. Had we been able to have more specific information we would have provided it. The Fireworks may start up anytime or continue to be postponed, we just don't know. We value you as a customer and hope you will keep us in mind for future vacation plans.

There were 4 in our party and the unit was spacious enough for us to be comfortable. It’s stocked with everything thst you may need from trash bags to laundry supplies. Perfect Getaway

This condo was exactly as described, immaculate, and it provided a breathtaking view of west Waikiki (while east to Diamondhead could be seen from the kitchen.) All of the amenities we could need for our 5 day stay were there, and Paul was a responsive and friendly host. This location is close to everything and parking was a breeze. The sofa bed was a bit lumpy and thin (as sofa beds are) for our 13 year old (75 lbs), so probably not great for anyone older, although sleeping on the couch would have been fine and he didn’t seem to mind. The construction was noisy but didn’t bother us as we were up early and playing most of the day. There is no pool at this property, but why go to the pool with all of that ocean!? We loved it and will return! Mahalo Kana and Paul!

The room was extensive, too, and both the facilities and the ocean view were splendid.
There was the part which I could not clean a little, and the care for cooking tool was insufficient, but was the level that I could endure.

Los Angeles United States, 23. May 2019 Stayed for 4 days in May, 2019This condo checks off all the boxes of a perfect vacation rental. The free reserved parking space is in a very clean and safe garage downstairs. Take the super fast elevator straight up to the 12th floor! So convenient with the brand new washer and dryer too. The view is stunning...better than the pictures even. Air conditioner works great on humid days, otherwise we loved the fresh ocean air from the large sliding glass door. The place was impeccably clean and we never saw any bugs! For Hawaii, that's amazing! We will stay here every time we are in Waikiki. There's no where better for the price.

We love the Waikiki Shore!

The unit is updated, clean, well-supplied, and everything is in great condition. Very comfortable bed and living room furniture. The ocean view is amazing - perfect spot to watch the Friday night fireworks! We appreciate being on the beach and able to snorkel right in front of the condo. This location is ideal for an evening stroll down the beach path to the Hilton Village and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. We enjoyed Happy Hour with ocean views from the Halekulani and Lulu's, dinners at the Cheesecake Factory and Tommy Bahama's, and Hawaiian music and dancing at the Royal Hawaiian. We have booked through Captain Cook Resorts several times and have always had excellent service from the staff, with special thanks to Paul for helping us with our most recent bookings! We would definitely recommend this property.

Wonderful Waikiki

We stayed for 6 nights at this property in June and it was great. The condo is in good condition, plenty of room, with an updated kitchen that we used often and we had enough room to invite friends over and do a Father's Day brunch. View was wonderful, location is great. Having a parking spot was a huge bonus. The beach outside has more coral than over near the Sheraton and Royal Hawaiian so more care is needed when bodysurfing. The one glitch we dealt with was that we got locked out without our phones our last day despite making arrangements through Reservations as was posted on info sheet for a late check out. Fortunately the building management office did have a contact number for one of the property managers at Captain Cook who took care of this. It was a definite stressor, I would suggest calling the property manager, Paul, directly as Reservations had not communicated to him. We are already planning a return next Spring, highly likely will try to book this property again.

Short step from the beach, no more than that. If you go out the back door, you can step on sand on Waikiki.
View was fantastic, the furniture was very comfortable and good-looking.
They have almost all kinds of cooking equipment, very convenient kitchen.
They have even beach chairs and parasols.
There are many popular restaurants(e.g. Shore bird restaurant, Roy's restaurant) near this accommodation, and Starbucks next building.
There are also great shops there. Chanel, Gucci, T galleria and Royal Hawaiian Center et cetra.
It was truly best choice ever, I missed Hawaii and the Waikiki Shore.
My whole family loved it. So maybe we can reunited at Waikiki Shore soon.
We really hope so.

October 2016 Stayed for 8 days in September, 2016Our stay at Waikiki Shore was a complete friendly Hawaiian experience from meeting Byron on arrival until the ease of leaving a week later. Byron from Catain Cook Real Estate was extremely informative and lovely and made us feel right at home from day one. The condo was extremely well equipped with a full sized kitchen, right down to a variety of beach gear at your disposal. The first thing that you notice on walking up to the front door is the view - Diamond Head overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Then entering the condo is the breathtaking 180 degree ocean view. At night is the city view and finally front row seats to the firework show every Friday night. This newly renovated condo was very stylist and extremely clean. The added bonus was the free car parking space which is extremely hard to find in Wakiki. We felt like we had our own little piece of paradise for the week. Thank Captain Cook Real Estate for making our experience such a lovely one!

A wonderful place with a great location to stay in the heart of Waikiki

It was a wonderful location, with the most fantastic views of the ocean and the front receipt for the Friday night fireworks. I am a designer so I am pretty picky when it comes to decore. It was clean beachy and very comfortable.
I think there are a few things that you could do to take it to the next level as far as a higher end vacation rental. Replace the Motel 6 bar soap with higher end body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, have some type of greeting card with chocolates or flowers welcoming I guess. I just think it adds a very nice touch when you arrive and to enjoy your stay. Other than that it was fantastic.Response from Captain Cook Real Estate

Perfect location!

You literally walked out onto the sand where all services were immediately available and that view.....simply stunning in all respects at any time of the day and night. The sliding doors that open to the railing are awesome.
The location is absolutely spot on being the last hotel before the park area and then the Hilton with the lagoon and fireworks being in direct sight and a perfect walking path and beach. Brilliant.
So close to all the shopping and restaurants and everything that is excellent about Waikiki. The steak shack at the base of the hotel was a favourite of ours and provided several enjoyable meals and would recommend trying them to anyone. The Shorebird next door was fun for a late snack and drink and the karaoke was entertaining as well.
Thank you Paul for making our arrival very welcoming. The condo was very secure and the departure procedure simple and we made good use of the car park which was very user friendly.

The splendor that was far beyond expectation
OSAKA Japan, 18. May 2016 Stayed for 7 days in May, 2016I think that you are moved with the blue of the sea of Waikiki and scenery of Diamond Head to see from approach before entering the room.
The room is cleaned neatly, and the floor of the marble raises a feeling of cleanliness more.
Four of six pieces of window were completely released, and seeing from a big opening of almost 4m, feeling soft wind, I forgot that time passed.

The Captain Cook management and staff were very responsive and easy to communicate with. The location is within walking to beach, shops and resataurants. A great stay

The condo was very comfortable and fully stocked with kitchen amenities and even beach accessories. It even came with a parking space! Paul was great as well. Seeing that we had two teenagers - a boy and a girl, he hunted down an air mattress so the teens could have their own beds.

Stunning Condo on the Beach!

Saskatoon Canada, 03. March 2015 Stayed for 14 days in February, 2015The unit could hardly have been better. Every aspect of the unit is above par. The bed is better than usual, the furniture sets a theme and is very nice. The television is better than a rental unit deserves. The kitchen is very well appointed with excellent quality items and everything is there. The appliances are new and nice. The location is as good as it gets in Waikiki, located right on one of the nicest parts of the beach and the quiet and privacy provided by the park next door is a godsend. The view is beautiful from both sides of the unit and the underground parking is the icing on the cake. Would have to nitpick to list any faults. Would definitely return to this unit again.

Explanations for the three and four stars:
General condition--only one of the two elevators in the building worked for the duration of our stay. So everyone in the building, including housekeeping with their big carts, could only use one elevator.
Netflix logged us out twice, and we had to ask management come to the apartment to log us back in. Problem was fixed pretty quickly, at most half a day. It's just that we don't get these shows in Japan so after a day on the beach or in the middle of the night when I wanted to catch up on an episode and I couldn't, I was bummed. Don't know why Netflix logged us out.
Cleanliness--this is a very clean property, satisfied with everything except the shower drain didn't drain very well, this is a big deal for me and the reason I gave this category three stars. The management I believe used something like drainall to try to fix it the second time they came to help log us back into netflix. Still the situation hadn't improved a lot. On one afternoon, previous to the drainall, it drained quickly but that was just that one time. No idea why though.
Other: big points that the rental comes with a parking lot. We drove everywhere.
Right on the beach. We could hear the waves at night. Even though it's located at the heart of Waikiki, it's a very quiet property. We had the window open often and it was peaceful even during the day.
Many dining options nearby.
The view itself is worth the money.
Keep in mind daily housekeeping is your responsibility. With all the sand from the beach we were sweeping or vacuuming regularly.Response from Captain Cook Real Estate

When we arrived the concierge I believe his name is Randy, was very professional and helped us get checked in right away. Arriving at our room our eyes were immediately drawn to the skyline and ocean view. The view was beautiful. This unit is on the 12th floor and has a great view of Ft. Duresey and the beach. Very peaceful. The kitchen was very nice,full size appliances and enough dishes and pots and pans for most any meal. The bed were comfortable and the unit was very quiet for sleeping. I can't say enough about the view.The only negative is the departure cleaning fee is excessive. Other than that, entire trip was great and we can't wait to return.

The location is PERFECT - with great access to the beach, the main shopping streets, and great restaurants. The view over the park next door and the beach is excellent - and just as good at night with all the buildings further down the beach illuminated. Love the fireworks on Friday night. The condo is spacious and comfortable, and includes everything you need. Love it!
